Come learn how to make small, woven bands on a small portable loom! Inkle weaving has been used for a variety of purposes including guitar straps, belts, curtain ties, and even shoe laces.
In this class, you will learn about how an inkle loom works and then pick a pattern from 3 options, learn how to make heddles, warp, weave and finish your band. We will also learn a little about the history of Inkle weaving and some more uses for these versatile woven bands.
Bring your own loom or use one of ours! You will need to purchase 3 to 4 1.5 oz cones of 3/2 weaving yarn for the class. Class participants will get a 10% discount on yarns and inkle looms purchased first day of class. To take the loom home between class sessions, you will need to put a credit card on record.
